Congradulations to everyone who got in in UMDNJ, new jesey dentatl school. I got in this program two years ago. It's a very good program. I will graduate from umdnj very soon. My apartment will be available at the end of March. Its in society hill, very close to school. the adress is 47 boston ct, newark. Very nice three bedrooms, 2.5 bath, big living room and dining room. The rent is $1800 totally.

I applied for umdnj this cycle...Can we send additional recommendation letters with the supplemental documents?

i dont think so that they require any supplemental documents other than a photo and notarized degree . Its just written that they just require application fee that too if u r asked to submit ...

Has anyone heard anything from umdnj 2013-2014 cycle
 
Even I applied and got an email that my application is complete. Havent heard from them since then.
 
Hey hard working .. Did they send you any mail asking you to submit the supplemental documents before application complete mail ??
 
Should we send the supplemental documents ?! Or should we wait for thier supplemental email .
 
Has any recieved any news about the application status after applying to New Jersey. I paid the Caapid application fee and since then I got no response from the school. Not even that they received my caapid application or their portal link to submit the school application fee or supplemental application link. NOTHING !!! I even mailed them to give me an application status update. Still no response. Is anyone facing the same problem as mine?

I applied through Caapid and then in few days I got an email from them that I need to send the supplemental documents. After I sent them my documents I got application completion status after 2 weeks. So there is not much we can do rather just have patience which is v difficult!
 
same with me i didnt hear anything from them but i did sent my pic and copy of degree .. Now waiting for them to just ask me to pay the fee

hi all
Just wanna know what is procedure for application?
1) Pay Caapid
2)Send supplement documents (Send 2” x 2” photograph to program (not to ADEA CAAPID) after submitting ADEA CAAPID application
 Notarized copy of degree or diploma)
3) wait for their email to send the application fees(250$)

Hope I'm on right track...
What about toefl and nbde report?
Any help.. thanks
 
Hi All,
NJDS became Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
Does anybody know they decrease class size? According to CAAPID, they accept only 5 students. The School's website says they will accept approximately 26 students. Moreover, should we reapply again?
 
Where in CAAPID did you see this 5 number guys? It still shows 26 in Rutgers PDF file on CAAPID directory.

The time they changed the name of the school it showed 5 seats but now I rechecked again and both in CAAPID as well as their website its 26 seats.......
 
Do they have a bench test? cz the website says interviews only!
 
Oh yes I rechecked- its the same number of seats as past but there is definitely a bench exam. Infact the school itself has bench exam prep course so its stupid to even think that they do not have a bench exam now..they are just updating their site- and will put up details soon

You know what I had a talk to my friend who is currently in the program, he told me that probably this year there will be no bench test, now I am not very sure that this is going to be executed of what he told me but I will again text my friend and ask him to find out. Yes they do have bench prep course but since things are changing in the school itself who might know whats in store for us!!

Hey Hardworking, when did u apply? and what all documents you submitted? did they ask u to pay $250? i have submitted my application to them through caapid and waiting for their reply. I suppose there is no supplemental document to be sent and the application fee is to be paid only after they ask us to do so. am I right Hardworking? how did they inform u about application complete- i mean by email?

Yes I submitted my application through CAAPID and then I got an email from the school which follows:-

Dear Applicant:

I am in receipt of your application, however in order to complete, I need:

NBDE Part I and Part II (original)
TOEFL Exam (original) Inst. code 2584
Diploma (notarized copy)
Photo 2x2
Fee $250 (personal check or money order)

After i sent them the required documents and fees, I didnt hear anything from them regarding application complete. I texted my friend who is in the program to help me find out if they need anymore documents and after a few days of that I got an application complete email. So yes they will send you an application complete email. I think there is a lot of delay going on as they changed the name and all other things they might be changing in school which is taking them time to respond. Just try calling them or email them regarding your application status. It might help.
