I'm going to be attending the UMDNJ Masters program next year in Newark, and was just wondering if anyone knows any statistics about how many students are in each entering class and what percentage of them are admitted to the med school etc. Also, and more information would be appreciated, I read through the other threads and there wasn't really too much info about it.

🙂 Hey! me too! YAY US!!!
Are you going to be living in the graduate apartments? Do you plan on attending dental/medical school after? I want to get to dental school...
Hope to see you there!

Hopefully med school afterwards, but I think I'm actually going to be living at home and commuting. The area isn't the best, and I only live about half an hour away. Do you know anyone else in the program?

I'm almost certain I'll be there next year (as a predent). It's the only master's program I was seriously considering, and I'm glad I got in. There's no way I'm living in Newark next year... I'm looking at apartments and rooms in Jersey City and I'll commute by car. Is anyone else looking at housing yet?

For you people that got accepted, how long was the wait to hear back.

I applied there in mid april and haven't heard back yet.

I applied there in mid april and haven't heard back yet.

Once my application was finally complete, they emailed me my acceptance in about two weeks. I did have a long time in between when I applied and when my application was actually complete, but I don't know if that is significant.

I actually sent in the deposit for the grad apartments. 180 west market

I just found the book on Amazon for 25 bucks

(I posted this on the other umdnj thread, but since no one replied, I'm hoping I'll have more success with this one.)

Did any of you get your financial aid package yet? How long did it take for you to hear from them from the time your finaid requirements were complete? I'm wondering if I should give them a call in case they forgot about me, or if they're just slow.

Thanks for your help!

for oos students, is there a significant cost difference and can it be remedied by becoming an nj resident.

I think it is a difference of about 4000 a year,

Hi guys!

I am just about done w/ the masters program at UMDNJ and thought I'd make a post and let you know to feel free to message me if you have any questions about the program, the area, etc. I live off campus, in Jersey City so I don't know much about on campus housing but am around for questions if you have any. Good luck!

Hey, nice to see someone who is on the board that is done with the program. How did you feel about the program overall in terms of difficulty and support from staff. And I couldn't find any stats online but do you know the % who got accepted into US allopathic med schools and what type of schools they got into.
