umdnj rejection

I sent out my application on June 2 and my committee letter was complete on Aug 7.
I just got a letter from UMDNJ, which is obviously the first letter..

GPA by AADSAS : both Total and Science are 3.5
DAT : Both TS and AA are 21

I didn't know UMDNJ was that hard school to get into until today.

Ouch..I'm sure that hurts, you have great stats. Are you an in state resident? Has anyone else heard from UMDNJ?

I got the same rejection letter from UMDNJ.

I guess every school is hard school, although i think you have stats which would pass most of school's screening. I'm pretty sure that you'll be receiving interviews from other schools so try not to stress too much about it.

i have 3.41/3.2 with 21/20/21 and got the rejection letter last friday.
but i also got 2 interviews so far so hopefully i can still make it this year..

You stats are excellent. people have recieved interview from UMDNJ with lower stats than you. Mybe there is something in your application that they didn't like about. you have great stats and IMO you will hear from other schools soon. good luck 👍

Thanks guys. I am a NY resident. I heard from someone that UMDNJ would consider NY residents as NJ residents, so I thought it would be easier to get into. But, apparently, it seems not. Hope you guys have lucks, too.

There aren't really any dental schools that are easy to get into anymore, your stats are good, your cycle isn't over.

i got rejected too...
I am not sure if this might be your reason too.. but I am a Psych major - sometimes schools don't like that, they like someone with a solid bio background. Other than that, I really can't think of much. I got 4 invites so far... so I am pretttty sure nothing is wrong with me. And nothing is wrong with you eiiiither =D

Funny thing is, I got rejected from their Gateway to Dentistry Program too.
