I'm having to debate between the 2 schools. any pointers, suggestions?

I know Drexel IMS has been around longer, it allows you to take 70% of your classes as medschool classes (correct me if im wrong), so since it's been around longer, it's stronger in terms of getting you into medschool, providing that your performance has been good

UMDNJ, is a more new program, but it sounds like it has a stronger link (although no one explicitly states) with the NJ medschools. it also doesn't allow you to take too many medschool courses....someone's been also saying that only the top 1/3rd of the MBS/SMP program are even allowed to take medschool courses.

any takes? I'd very much appreciate it. THANKS!!!!!!!

After speaking with deans from both schools Drexel IMS >>> UMDNJ. From what the dean told me is exactly his words "a true smp like drexel or georgetown would be a better fit for someone pursuing medical school." I was so appreciative of that honesty. You only take 2 or 3 medical school courses throughout your tenure and the like with the medical school is not that strong at all. Those numbers on their website are all dated and are predicted to drop significantly because of the much larger class sizes they have now. GO TO DREXEL!!

Hey Tooth, the above quote referred to Drexel, right? do you have the link to their website? (I'm assuming Drexel) that has the numbers? I really appreciate your reply!!! 🙂

Thanks!!!

I am having a hard time debating if I do the postbac at drexel or if I should do one on my own here at my state school. State school would be much cheaper, but I know the drexel program is good too. I cant decide! Can someone please give me some suggestions? Thank you!
