I love the rural New England location - snowboarding and flyfishing...the lovely historic campus...the small close knit class of 80. Everything about Dartmouth appeals to me...Oh yeah, I am an A cappella singer, so the Dermatones, I would definitely sing for the Dermatones.
I think all of these schools are great - it's all about what's best for you and where you could see yourself for the next four years of your life. I live in Richmond, and I have to say that Charlottesville is freakin' sweet in the fall!
Where do you want to live for four years (and potentially more if you stay for residency)? One of these choices (Northwestern) offers a very different type of environment from these other schools, independent of geography.
Umich students are fantastic, but I'm looking at walking home in teen degree weather, so not feeling Ann Arbor. Depends on how much you hate the cold. Otherwise, Ann Arbor is a sweet, quintissential college town.
