Just wondering if anyone has any specific info on how Truman runs their traumas? Does surgery run them, do they alternate etc...

I know it is an ancient program (1973?) and is obviously well established, but just wondering if anyone has any specifics on trauma and/or number of procedures residents typically get.

I just interviewed there. They run them like most. Code 1 is run by surg while EM manages airway. Code 2 and 3 is all EM.

The more places I interview the more I realize trauma while fun and sexy really is overrated. Its what the public thinks about when they think EM. IMO you will get good trauma experience almost anywhere because its realtively easy (but fast-paced).
