Which program for Ortho residency is better? University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) or Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX.

Im deciding which place to do my away elective...

I'm not that knowledgable about either program. For UMKC I have heard that the PD is kind of an A. I think you do trauma at Truman hospital which is a level 1 trauma center and peds is at Children's Mercy. TTech I nothing about. I am from the KC area and will say that it is an excellent city to live in with little traffic and low cost of living.
 
Lubbock TX (TT's Location) is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay far away from actual things to do.

7 hours from San Antonio. 3-4 to Dallas.
