I was just wondering if anyone was applying to UNC Chapel Hill and if so if you had heard anything yet. I haven't recieved any word so I'm wondering if that is a bad sign because I thought they started their process early.

I think UNC starts doing interviews in November, so it's probably not a good sign that you haven't heard back. Are you in California? UNC will accept no more than 18% of applicants from out of state, and they probalby prefer for you to be from a neighboring state so you would be more likely to find work in North Carolina rather than moving back out west. A lot of people apply at UNC, and i heard that you have to be the cream of the crop academically to get in from out of state.

Chapil Hill is very hard to get accepted. You need to have at least 3.5 and your PCAT needs to be above 80%. They say GPA needs to be 2.5 on the website but they accept people with good GPA and PCAT only. You need to buy a statistic book about pharmacy schools 2002-2003. It costs only $33 dollars. It's very helpful 🙂

I applied to UNC this year. I heard they started sending out interview invitation early December, but I haven't got an interview yet. 🙄 I thought my grades are competitive. 🙁 (In-state, 3.82 GPA, 93% PCAT).

Goheel, you're fine; don't worry yourself unnecessarily. I have a friend who is a PY2 and she's helping with interviews @ the SOP at Carolina this year. She says they're interviewing up until the end of January. I know of one person who has already been accepted (3.7 GPA/91% PCAT) and one with a 3.7 GPA/93% PCAT waiting to hear back about an interview. They're both at UNC.

Hey Guys,

I found out today I got an interview here at UNC School of Pharmacy. I thought they would inform me by phone like they have in the past. However, it's by email. So check your email frequently. My friend that's a PY-1 said that they have only interviewed about 25 or 30 people. Last year they interviewed 257 people, so I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard just yet. Best of luck.
