I got a quick question regarding one of their prereqs. It's regarding Microbiology. At my school, theres a few classes which transfers over to UNC's Microbiology 251 or 255 according to their transfer website. Theres a BIOl 1259 which is Bacteriology which requires no prereqs and Microbiology 4250 which requires like gen bio 1/2, cell bio . Both transfers over as MCRO 255. I'm sure the latter will fit the prereq but the question is whether the Bacteriology class will.

And you are asking strangers on a forum this question? The people you should be talking to are those in UNC's admissions office.

Before I started applying to pharmacy school, I made a list of all the courses I had ever taken, together with my grades in those courses, and asked their admissions office to look it over and see if I had met all their prerequisites. Saved me a lot of hassle later.

forgot to mention, I emailed them twice but never responded. Maybe someone else who applied to UNC took only BIOl 1259 instead of BIOl 4250.

I'm confused because you say both transfer as MCRO255, so don't they both work then?
It's really hard to get a hold of anyone at UNC. I suggest waiting 2 months for a response or calling.

So call them? It doesn't matter if someone got accepted to start this Fall using one of those classes, things may be different for applicants this year. The only answer that matters is the one you get from the school. If you call, document who you speak with and ask them if they can email you the answer or a link to the website that clarifies it.
