For those of you that applied to UNC in years past: I know their process is different this year (i.e. no supplemental app and the LORs go thru PharmCAS instead of as a part of the supplemental) but how soon after you got all your stuff in did you receive notification that your file was complete?

What was the earliest you heard of anyone having an interview? I know someone that interviewed first weekend of December, but there were earlier ones. They won't need to wait for my PCAT (I took it last year), since they told me that decisions are not made without PCAT scores.

UNC has my supplemental and the PharmCAS printout. My last LOR was received at PharmCAS on 9/15. I'm just wondering when I should start being concerned about them not having a completed file (since the deadline is November 1).

On that note, does anyone know what the turn-around is on PharmCAS forwarding LORs?

Their website says they send an email to let you know.

I'm applying for Fall 2006 too. I submitted PharmCAS in late July and UNC's supplemental around the first week of August. I got the confirmation email that my file is complete just this past Friday. Oh, I don't think PharmCAS sent everything out till the middle of August. So anyway, UNC may be a bit slow in processing everything. I wouldn't be too worried yet.

I submitted my PharmCAS on 8/17 and it was sent to UNC on 9/01. My letters of recommendation have been trickling in. The first was received 8/22, so it probably went out with the print out. The other two were received 9/06 and 9/15, so the last one probably isn't even at UNC yet.

I verified that UNC has my supplemental a while ago. I know they take their sweet time processing things, so I'm really not even looking for a confirmation email until at least mid-October. I don't think I'd start getting concerned until the end of next month rolls around and I haven't heard anything yet.

It was kinda weird when I read their confirmation cuz I have not had the PCAT yet and the email didn't even mention it. It just said my file is complete and to await a decision from them. Maybe they'll overlook it. I wish! 🙄

I totally agree that UNC is slow, but you still gotta love them. LIke brizzle said, i wouldnt get too concerned right now about confirmation of receipt of your application. However, if you decide to call the school, dont call one of the well known people there. Call the general number and speak to one of the students working there. They are less likely to stamp you as a irritating, repeat caller, lol. Where ru from star. I already know u are around here briz.

I'm from Georgia but I hope to go out of state for pharm school. 🙂 I visited UNC when I was in high school for undergrad but decided to go to Georgia Tech instead.

When I call UNC I usually talk to Dama Pike. She is really nice and always helpful.

I got an email today...telling me that one of my letters of rec is missing.

It was received at PharmCAS on 9/06.

Let's hope this works out.
