For those who got into UNC for DPT Class of 2014, could some one tell me that in GRE if you dont have above 20th percentile in just one section (in my case AW) you are not considered as an competitive applicant and not even called for interview?

My GRE score is Quant=800, Verbal=390, AW=3.0

Quant and Verbal are both above 20th percentile, except AW.

I took college level english classes and made A in both. I mean would they just look at GRE score and see if one is not above 20th percentile you are automatically not accepted.

I am so worried, could some please let me know..

UNC's website http://www.med.unc.edu/ahs/physical/programs/DPT/DPT admissions says under Admission Requirements:
"Completion of GRE exam with a minimum score at the 20th percentile or higher for EACH section of the exam"
If you really want to go there I would take it again.

well... I wouldn't retake it. Who's to say that they wouldn't admit him into the program just because he got a low grade in AW. Maybe the essay questions were tough. Plus, that is a very small portion of the qualification criteria. If everything else is good (GPA, letters of rec, experience etc...) I don't see why not.
