Uncertain about future, need help

Your GPA is kind of on the bubble. So, what's your goal program? Are you in the range of their GPA/MCAT stats? If yes, then you probably don't really need the post-bac classes and I would look for a job that both pays the bills and gives you either lab or clinical exposure that matches your goals. Something like becoming a scribe perhaps? Clinical research data management? No shame in McD, but it isn't really getting you the experience you need.

If you aren't quite in the range yet for your target programs stats, then you could look for a post bac that includes EC experience. Or find the healthcare related job and then continue to take a few upper level UG courses as a post-bac student to bump you up a bit.

Best of luck. 🙂

Not embarassing to work at McD. Your URM status along with your GPA seems sufficient to get you into medical school. You definitely need more exposure to medicine though. You can probably take a year off to study for the MCAT and then get as much clinical exposure as you can. After that, I think if you score at least a 30 on the MCAT, you'll get into at least one medical school somewhere. You'll probably get into quite a few more.

There's a really good program in South Central LA...the CDU-UCLA program. They're URM friendly, however, they require significant community service and leadership experience. You should be fine at schools as long as you apply broadly.
