Under Review vs. Complete

On AADSAS what is the difference between received/under review and received/application complete? Or is there even a difference?

i'm not really sure. i know that three of the four schools I am interviewing with haven't updated the status whatsoever, so I'm not so sure how much it means.

I just spoke with a lady in BU, and she said under review DOES NOT mean that your application is necessarily complete! That makes no sense, but I hope that's not why the status thing on my application has been "under review" for a few weeks now.

means they withdrew ur money, and you file is activated.

And also they are reviewing your application materials. Meanwhile, they may find any missing documents, so they contact with you again to urge you to send those missing materials.

On the other hand, "application complete" means all of your documents are recieved at the school. There are no missing documents. However, it can also mean your application review has been completed, and you are waitlisted or will be considred throughout this cycle until they decide on your new application status later(either rejection, waitlisted, or interviewed).

If u are seeing "Application Complete" on your AADSAS, it is highly likely to mean that you are not invited for interview, but not rejected yet. (I would say this is waitlisted before interview!)

OSU changed mine from blank to "received/application complete" and then the next day they emailed me an interview invite so i think it means that theyre reviewing either way

I guess both implies that your application is under review! My application for UCSF was "complete" for a week and then was changed to "under reveiw" later.

Well I already had an interview, and I have one upcoming up next week, but I just read on some other forum that Tufts needs an LOR from your dentist stating that you've shadowed for at least thirty hours... so now my dentist is sending a letter to them stating so.

i don't know, i've had received/under review go to interview and i've also had received/application go to interview (Maryland today actually!!!)

i think they can be assumed to be basically one in the same

Complete simply means all your requirements have been received. Under review means it's being considered for interview/acceptance. Don't read too much into the statuses online. Better to check with the schools for the most up to date status of your application.

What are your stats if yo udont mind sharing? I'm from cleveland tooo and my app just got in and says "waiting for more info" (LORs weren't sent out with my app for whatever reason AADSAS had!).
Wondering if I have a chance this late!
