This has probabaly been asked a million times and I apologize if this is the case, but I find advice from fellow students to be very helpful. I'm entering my 4th semester at Penn State majoring in kinesiology. By the time I graduate, I'll most likely have a minor in biology or microbiology. I have a current GPA of 2.9. My low GPA is a result of my poor study habits and I know for a fact I can bring it up to around a 3.3-3.4 by the time I graduate. I plan on starting to study for the MCAT this summer and will take the Kaplan course next Fall. This summer I will be in a "pre-med volunteer program" at my local hospital. In addition, I'm going to shadow a DO. I also have other EC's that are not science related. Am I on the right track and do I still have a chance of getting into a DO school? Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds good. Do well on the MCAT and work on your GPA and ECs and you should be fine. Good luck!:luck: 😀

Thanks a lot. 🙂

You're welcome. There is also some helpful info located in the FAQs sticky at the top of this forum. Best advice: Don't ever doubt yourself and don't give up! :luck: 😀
