I just finished up my biochemistry class and it was taught by the author of this book, Dr. Michael Lieberman. The guy is an amazing lecturer, I don't know where to get started. We didn't use his book since it is designed for the class he teaches for Cincinnati COM (or med school in general). It is my understanding though that he pretty much taught the same class to us, with less of an emphasis on clinical aspects and more of mechanisms, methods, and structures (metabolism

). Anyways I would highly recommend it to supplement your class.
funny thing about Dr. Lieberman is that on the first day of class he said "if I have to look at my notes to remember something then you don't need to know it for the exam." I think over the course of the year he looked at his notes three times
🙁
