Hello, studentdoctor

First time poster, long time follower. I'm getting gray hair over a current issue I'm having. Basically I'm between a sophomore and junior in college and I don't know what to do about my future. my gpa isn't all that great, 2.484 at the moment, and I'm not sure if I should retake my C classes in general or retake only my C classes in science classes. Another issue is should I retake them in the school I'm transfering to or in my community college? The reason I ask is my old school has this weird grading system where there is only one solid grade. What I mean is if one got a 81 then it would equal to a B or if someone got a 79=C. The Cs I got where 79s, so you could understand how much that would make someone angry only to shy off from a B or have their total gpa crushed by a 79. My last question is go for a master to beef up my gpa and apply to UMDNJ or retake the classes?

*I forgot to mention, my goal is to at least get between a 3.0-3.2gpa or at least a 3.1gpa in science. I'm not sure what UMDNJ cares more about.

I'd definitely suggest that you retake your C classes because some dental schools will not accept them. Also, try to take them at wherever you're transferring to, not CC because some dental schools won't take CC credits either =/

It's really a bummer that you don't have like B+, B, B-, etc. But I mean in any college, there will always be a one point difference between a letter grade and 79 would have been a C+ anyway in colleges with the +/- things.

Dang, really? That's going to put me more into debt. I had a teacher tell me something similar, but I thought he was suggesting that so I would have to spend more money, within their school.
