I have loans from undergrad that I've been paying faithfully every month - though I'm working it's one more expense that I have to take care of.

I've been accepted to med school and classes start July 28th - when can I begin to defer my loans? When did you defer your undergrad loans?

I'm going to talk to someone in the financial aid office of the med school next week but I don't want to look like a fool when I ask if I can defer my loans in May. (is that too early?)

I have the same question. i remember reading somewhere that you need proof of enrollment to med school, including a statement that you've paid at least part of the tuition for the year. this makes me a little worried because from what i understand, loan payments don't come in until close to the first day of class, but i will be quitting my job about a month earlier to move. if anyone has any more info, it would be much appreciated!!
