I'm a Junior Economics major, but recently I have been debating whether that's what I want to do or if Physical Therapy is what I want to do. I have only taken a few prereq's for PT school, and only need 3 more semesters to finish my Eco degree. The only prereq's I have completed are Stats, College Algebra, Bio 1 w/ Lab, and Speech. My GPA in those classes are 3.69 but my overall GPA is 3.2. I don't know if my GPA is high enough to continue to try for PT school, or if I should just drop it and finish my Eco degree. The school I want to apply to does not require a Bachelor's Degree to enter. Right now i have between 100-150 volunteer hours. Another plan I have is to finish my Eco degree, then do PTA school at a local comm. college. What do you think would be a good idea?

I know that a lot of schools care more about pre-req gpa than your cumulative gpa, and so far your pre-req gpa looks really good to me. If PT is something you are sure you want to do then I would continue with the prereqs and keep that gpa high. You also have a lot of time to continue with your volunteer hours which will make your application stronger. In the end its up to you but I think you definitely have a chance and you should go for it!

Same as above, go for it! You have plenty of time, do some shadowing and decide if it's something you really want to pursue. They like diverse backgrounds too so you're on the right track!

I was an economics major in my undergrad. Don't let that stop you.
