Total: 18 credits

I've taken 18-20 credits before, but that was fresh/soph year when it was just physics, g&ochem, biol, etc.

I'm contemplating dropping endocrinology, but will it be held against me if I'm only taking 15 credits?

Do dentistry schools even take the demands of your schedule into account? I'm sure I can manage all A's if I drop endocrinology, but with the additional class, I'm not as confident.

I think you know the answer already but I will humor you. DROP THE CLASS. Absolutely Dental schools take schedule into account. However having 15 units will be looked upon in a positive light not a negative one. GPA > Sched.

I'm actually more inclined to sticking with the 18 credits for now, but it's definitely more of a gamble concerning GPA if I end up with one or two B's.

I don't want the admissions committee to question whether or not I can handle dentistry school(~18-22 credits a semester) when they see that I'm only taking 5 classes.

All three of those sciences will help you immensely for dental school. I've taken biochem and endocrinology and those two are definitely doable together. In fact, there is a lot of biochem in endocrinology. I think you'll be fine. If anything, I'd drop one of the non-science classes if you want to lighten your load.

Wait, you're supposed to take more than 5 classes? Some schools operate on a 4 class per semester system, which is the equivalent of 16 credits. Isn't that enough? If schools like non-science majors too, why would they expect you to take a load of 18-22 credits of pure science to be competitive?

Depends on your profs. I'd look at ratemyprofessor.com to get an estimate of the time demand. My biochem class required me to put ~80 hours per exam (the final was more involved than the DAT) not to mention weekly quizes. However the bio version of biochem at my school required at most 10-20 hours to do well from the people I've talked to. Also, the honors courses that I've taken (~10) seem to be easier but more time intensive versions of a course, so you might be safe regardless.

If all else fails try it and see how it works out? Most schools don't even mark your transcript for withdrawing before a certain deadline.

As far as i know, the number game is far way more important than your load course. The number is what set you in the first place
