Hi, I was just wondering if some fellow students have some advice for me about how to approach the subject of undergraduate transfers. I have gone to three undergrad schools and have done very well at all three. I took a year off after my first two years of school to do the AmeriCorps program CityYear, and then I came back to a different state school that offered me a large scholarship. Unfortunately though, my mother-in-law became very ill so we had to move back to where my husband is from to take care of his mother. Needless to say, we had to transfer to a university in his hometown. She has recovered now, I just hope that admissions committees will be understanding. Has anyone else transferred at least once and was it addressed in your interviews? Thank you so much in advance! 😕

I attended 4 undergrad institutions, including one community college. I have had 6 dental school interviews and this never came up at any of the interviews nor did I bring it up. BTW I got in to 2 schools this years.

This is just my experience, perhaps someone else has had different experience with this topic?

Maybe not similar but I attended 4 different institutions during my postbac, so total of 6 including for my bachelors. The interviewer asked me why and I gave him the answer. He seem very understanding of my situation of why I attended different institutions during my postbac. It shouldn't be a problem.

I also attended 4 different institutions. I only received one interview (luckily accepted), but I don't think the number of schools was the reason for not getting more interviews. It never came up in the one interview I had. It is a pain getting all of the official transcripts in to AADSAS, though, make sure you get that process started as early as possible.

Great👍 Thank you all of you for your advice, this is really good to know. I guess I can stop worrying about it so much.
