I graduated with a BA in Political Science and now work for CVS Caremark, I have always been interested in the healthcare industry however have never followed through with it until recently. My job is willing to pay for my Pharm school, however I have to take Pre Reqs! Any advice?

If you are determined to do it, then go for it. However, there is a big shift from BA Pol. Sci. to prepharm. You must take all of the science courses prior in taking the pharmacy prereqs. I know some universities won't allow you to take certain courses (like biochem w/o ochem first) without meeting those requirements first. Have you taken some science courses before? Some pharm schools force you to retake science courses if they are 9+ years old. My advice for you is to select schools that you're interested in and look at their prereqs and course equivalency so you'll know what to take. Best of luck to you mgoon.

I was looking into University of Tennessee. I graduated in May 2011 and have taken Biology and Chemistry, not much though since my undergrad did not require anything extra then one semester of each. I did my research and figured out it would take about 1 1/2...not too bad.
