by Thomas Bodenheimer and Kevin Grumbach.

I just finished reading it, and would like to highly recommend this book to everyone who want to get a better perspective on the current health care system and the problems associated with it. It's a great book!

Anyone else read it?

ah....too many books to read! 🙂

I also would recommend it. I learned a lot from it.

Wait, there's a caveat. I really wouldn't recommend it if you are either a) a Republican or b) otherwise against a national health care system. This book is heavily slanted in favor of socialized medicine, so you probably won't like it if you aren't also.

Thanks for the post, I'll be sure to check it out.

I used this book for a class. Naturally I didn't read much of it, but will get around to that before my interviews.

Isn't that a bit closed-minded? I read a lot of things that differ from my opinions and I can enjoy them and learn from them. I'm under the impression that if you get angry over someone else's view then you are probably pretty insecure in your own. 😛

Very true. Many people who are opinionated are very close minded. I was just warning them.

where can i buy this book? I went to different book stores (i.e. barnes and nobles, borders) and no one carries it. Also, they said that places that do carry it sell it for about $50. is that about right?

Thanks!

You can get it at www.bn.com for $46 new or $23 used.

I bought it new on Amazon for $30 or $40, if I remember correctly.

I got it from my school library. Cost $0.
