I'm really interested in attending your school. I would appreciate any information anyone could give me through either a post or a PM. Thanks a lot!

There are quite a few folks from UNECOM who visit these forums. Since specific questions are easier to answer, do you have a particular area you'd like information on?

Anything you can tell me would be helpful. Do you like the teaching staff and curriculum? I know other schools talk about having early clinical experiences, does UNECOM have this too? What do you like most about this school? Thanks for all the help!

Hmmm... Medical school is what you make it.

Have you begun interviewing yet?

My advice is to interview at as many places as possible. Each school and each class are unique with their own characteristics.

Are you interested in New England in particular?

I enjoyed the teaching done by the staff. They cover alot of material and work hard to adjust the curriculum every year based on our feedback. What I like the most about the school were the students. We supported each other through the years. This was a big selling point on my decision to attend the school.

Some of the teaching is good.. some is subpar. My opinion and can provide many examples!

Adiministrative staff can be a pain to deal with, without naming names!!! But I could!!! They give good people a hard time... I like to refer to it as the mofia.

Also, UNECOM, misleads applicant with their newsletter by featuring research and accomplishments elsewhere as if they were due to UNECOM when they are not. They like to mislead people like that.

FYI, just to be clear, I am not longer a UNECOM student... don't have anything against the school. There are lots of good students there, but there are also downsides of the way the school is run. I wish some of the class of 2008 and 2009 was open enough to share some of this info before I started there. Also FYI, there are similar problems with other schools as well... so wherever you go you will get similar or worse problems.

Docbill, where are you a mudphud student?
