unethical / hateful behaviour among colleagues?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Plainfacts may want to expel people from school for having different opinions. I guess that is cool in whatever banana republic he is from. All I want is plainfacts banned from this forum... is there any sort of appeal/petition process for this? He is seriously ruining potentially good threads.

I want people expelled for unprofessional behaviour, nothing else. This happens already, also in the US. Why do you keep making all these things up?

Listen, the reason everyone is so against what you're proposing is that what his colleagues did wasn't really "unprofessional" in the objective sense. Things like cheating on an exam, stealing meds from the pharmacy, sleeping with your schizophrenic patient...those are unprofessional and can get you removed from your school/job/etc. Having opinions and voicing them in private is not unprofessional, no matter how controversial the opinion is. If you say they should be expelled for that, then what about students that get drunk when they go out? or watch porn? or bet on sports games? You have to draw the line of unprofessional behavior somewhere, and that line is drawn way before voicing one's opinions in private.

I don't see how personal opinions that don't affect the quality of treatment and don't involve an abuse of power constitue "unprofessional behaviour[sic]".

It may not be in line with the way you think the world should work, but it is hardly unprofessional. I might despise your opinions but I would hardly call you unprofessional on account of them, nor would I want you to be expelled or have your license suspended on account of them. Now wanting to go on a witch hunt for people who don't hold the same opinions as you, THAT is unprofessional.
