Hi guys, this is mostly for those who have already gone through this, but if anybody knows, I'd greatly appreciate the info.

So here's the deal. I just graduated last month, and I am waiting for my degree to get validated and posted.
The problem is, on my transcript request form for my school, it says that if I want my transcripts to have my degree posted on it, there is an 8-10week wait period.

Is it important that I wait for my degree to get posted? or can I just request the transcript with all my finalized grades, but not my degree necessarily being on it. I noticed that like 98% of the people who get accepted into dental school have a Bacc. Degree, does that mean that they waited that 8-10 weeks to submit their transcript?

Im thoroughly confused....any advice would greatly help! Thnx!

Also, would i be able to e-submit my application even if my transcript has not been verified and all my LoR's have not been received?

I didn't wait that long after. Isn't there an option to mark whether you have earned your degree or not? Also, this will not really affect you getting accepted but whatever school you get accepted to and attend next spring will require your last transcript WITH the degree posted.

So, I would just be able to check mark the box on my transcript form that says wait for semester grades, and then be ok?

I did say that I earned my degree on AADSAS, I just dont want some sort of miscommunication where I have to prove it via transcripts...

You should be fine, thats exactly what I did and I had no problems. Most students don't have their degree when they apply and interview but the school will say you need to have it before matriculation. You're good to go!

Oh wow! Thank you! That helps a lot!

Would I be able to e-submit my application before my LoR's have been received and my Transcripts are verified?

You can e-submit any time you are done with your application. Once they receive your transcripts they will verify them and calculate your GPA. Depending on how long your LOR take to get to AADSAS depends on whether they will be sent out WITH or WITHOUT your application when it gets mailed. If they get there soon enough, they obviously will be sent WITH your application, if they get there late, they will be sent in another mailing AFTER your application was mailed.

Word of advice though, I would let your completed application sit for a day or two before submitting. I only say that because you may realize you want to word something better or add or subtract something that you put on your application. I know you are probably dying to submit but I honestly re-worded a few things hours after I completed it and I'm glad I waited a day or so because things will pop into your head that you may have forgot. Just a suggestion.

Alright! Thank you very much for the advice!
