Is it mandatory to answer question 2 (Using the back of this page or a separate sheet of paper, briefly discuss any extenuating circumstances which you feel are pertinent to your application (poor grades, course withdrawals, etc). Usually this is an optional question, but for this secondary, I get the feeling they want a response from everyone. Any thoughts are appreciated 🙂

I assumed it was optional and didn't answer it, but then again I don't have an interview there yet either. I never answer that question, as I don't feel there are any extenuating circumstances worth mentioning.... I wouldn't have had anything to put at all, even if it wasn't optional. Good luck!

No need to answer this question if you have no red flags. I interviewed there and have been accepted w/ out utilizing this sheet. They did ask again at the interview if any red flags existed. I have a pretty spotless academic record however (GPA 4.0) and a decent MCAT (32). I would just explain time off, C's and below, and/or poor MCAT performance. Really great school.

I don't think it's required but i'm filling it out anyways because it's one of my top choice schools and i have a few red flags. Bad, bad frosh year gpa and a general weakness in chem classes
