Hi I have question about where I should stay for the U of A tucson campus interview invite. Do you guys know any good place to stay around the campus?

I'm currently a UA undergrad and I would have to say, most people that visit here stay at the Mariott Hotel since it's right next to the campus. There are other places, but the distance is a con; and you would need a transportation of some sort.

But, that Mariott Hotel near UA campus is pretty nice and probably won't be cheap. And it not exactly next door to the med school campus either. There is a Four points hotel on the corner of Speedway and Campbell that might be closer.

Btw, if you are a OOS applying to UA you better have a good reason/connection to come to Arizona (i.e you went to NAU or ASU, or you have family in Tucson.) This came directly out of the mouth of one of the adcom members that taught one of my classes.

I'm not trying to cut down the competition, I am just stating what I was told. I was told up to 25% of incoming class may be OOS.

Call the Marriott Hotel nearby and ask for the student rate. I always traveled Marriott because they are always kept clean and they have free wi-fi.
