I've pretty much gathered from spending time on this forum that no one else here even applied to CU-Denver, which is strange because they are reporting that they had a record number of applicants this cycle. However, if you were invited to interview today I'd be down to talk! Curious to find out details about the interview process. This was my top choice, so really looking forward to this one!

Just got my email invite yesterday! RSVP'd immediately but haven't gotten my specific interview date or additional information yet. I'm coming from out of state so I'm pretty nervous for the interview since I have heard that in-state is favored so much more heavily. Any ideas on what the interview acceptance stats are?

Is this school gonna be impossible to get into as an out of state average student?

As I mentioned before in a previous thread you started, the prereqs are demanding. However, there are many out-of-staters in my class, so I don't think that is a big deterrent...not a big as people not taking the correct classes or enough upper level science

Thanks @dancing_DPT sorry for the repeat, I'm still kinda new on here and making all the egregious noob errors

The pre reqs are bonkers and can completely eliminate your ability to apply to the program. You must take certain classes for the sole purpose of applying to UC. Even regular A&P is looked down upon. For an out of state non traditional like me, with a pre req 4.0 GPA (for typical pre reqs), it would have been irrational to apply to CU, which is a shame.

Which CU prerequisites are you guys finding demanding? This makes me worried. They seem to have the standard AP/psych/statistics/upper level bio combo with a stipulation that they should be taken at a 4-year university. Is that it?

The only real difference I found when applying is that they preferred standalone anatomy and physiology courses (from a university instead of CC) versus an A&P sequence. Since I took the prereqs at CU-Denver, I also had to take cell bio as a prereq to physiology. Other than that, I didn't really find anything else to be that different.
