I was accepted to UK and plan on attending in the fall! Just thought I would start a thread for the incoming class 🙂

Appalachian State University
Major: Exercise Science
Minor: Biology, Psychology
Overall GPA: 3.63
Pre-req GPA: 3.53
GRE: V: 480 Q: 590 AW: 5.0
Observation: 150 hrs in geriatric, neuro, and ortho.

UNC Wilmington
Major: Recreation Therapy
Minor: Psychology
Overall GPA: 3.99
Pre-Req GPA: 4.0
GRE V:470 Q: 740 AW: 4.5
Observation: 175 hrs in outpatient, rehab hospital, sports med, oncology

Yea I am from Kentucky but just went out of state for college so I'm ready to be back! My name is Megan by the way. One of my good friends from high school is also going to be in our class and we talked about making a Facebook group. Do you know if they'll give us a list of the people in our class?
 
Awesome! I think a FB group sounds like a wonderful idea. I doubt they would give you a list of names especially since everyone hasnt turned in their official letters yet. But you could start one and then people make go out and search for one.
 
I just made the group! I just called it University of Kentucky DPT class of 2015.
 
Awesome!! I asked to join. You might want to make it an open group so people can find it when they search for it. It didnt show when I searched for it.
 
I was accepted to the Hazard campus but would really like to go to Lexington. Is it possible to be considered for the Lexington campus or are the committee's decisions set in stone?
 
I really have no idea. Did you apply for both?
 
Yes I did. I shouldn't have applied to HAzard in the first place but I was not really thinking clearly back in Sept I just wanted to get accepted. I grew up in Lexington and I remember hearing about Hazard and I honestly thought it was a lot closer. I should have checked a map lol.

But now that I am accepted to Hazard I cannot commit to go there. All of my family lives in Lexington so it would be a lot cheaper for me to live with them since I will already be paying put of state tuition.
 
Hello All,
I am currently #3 on the waiting list and I feel that I have a good chance of being contacted for a spot. I was curious what your acceptance requirements were. For example, what was the duration in which you had to respond to your acceptance letter by and so forth? Thanks and congrats. I hope to post here soon stating that I have been accepted!
 
We have to mail in our intent to accept by March 30th.
 
I never received a letter saying I got in or didn't get in. Did anyone else have this problem?
 
I assume you meant March 5th..but I would just call or e-mail them. They probably should have notified you either way.
 
Haha yea thats what I meant to say. I already sent them an email. I will call tomorrow to make sure.
 
I received two letters in the mail from UK. Well one was addressed to a different name. Maybe it was yours lol
 
I have not received anything either. When I called she said if I had not received anything by next week to call back. Is that letter by any chance addressed to Lauren Speelman? Lol
 
No its to a Janelle... It looks like they had some issues with mailing lol
 
Do you think we will receive more information soon, like after the March 30th deadline? I am ready to know more about the schedule and whatnot and get connected with more students!
 
I think everyone both accepted and those at the beginning of the waiting list should begin receiving further information after the 30th.

They called me first! It was an 859-323-#### number. Then sent me an email stating samething but wanted written confirmation. I hope you hear something!

For it to be this early, since the deadline was yesterday, I would think you would get a call.
 
Does anyone know how far down the waitlist they have went for the Lexington or Hazard campus?
 
I have just been accepted into the program! I can't wait to meet everyone.

I was just accepted from Lexington's In-state waitlist, and was position #4. Good luck.
 
Has anyone else been accepted into the Lexington campus from the alternate list?!?
