How is the Program?? Is it too competitive? How sthe level of training? I checked scutwork.com but the information is from 2001. Any input is appreciated!
My stats
IMG/ Step1- 92/step2- 90/some research/good LORs

I didn't apply to this program for geographical reasons, but the following information is from the program's website:

http://www.mc.uky.edu/diagnosticradiology/default.asp

-5 positions per year (starting at PGY-2)
-Do you have a set cut-off score for the USMLE?
No, our program does not set a predetermined cut-off score in order to be considered for an interview. However, our committee highly recommends a minimum of 200 to apply.
-What types of visas do you sponsor?
We can sponsor J-1 visas.

-On the Residents page, there are:
1 IMG, 4 DO's, 7 from University of Kentucky-Lexington, and 3 from University of Louisville (Louisville, Kentucky), rest from other US med schools

-"If you are particularly interested in our training program, I highly recommend applying for a four week extramural rotation within our department during your fourth year of medical school. Some of our best (and happiest) residents have come to us via this vehicle. It is a wonderful opportunity to not only gain a better appreciation of basic radiographic interpretation but also to personally acquaint yourself with our faculty, residents and staff. If you have interest in this clerkship experience, please contact Renee Seidell in our Academic Affairs Office (phone: 859-323-5261) to complete the appropriate application forms. "

*Best of luck with your radiology residency application

thanks leucocytosis! I really appreciate your input!

Doesn't it have a rep for being a workhorse program? I think I heard that from a few people.

Buddy told me they clear 250-300k in moonlighting @ UK rads.

I'm entering Anesthesiology, but if I was to do Radiology, I'd do it @ UK, or that place in Memphis, where you can also make 300k+ moonlighting...

buddy also told me that some private place in memphis is that way too...

why these two places aren't top of everyone's list, I don't know!

No one person makes that much extra a year in moonlighting. He or she was either full of crap or giving you the total of all the residents, which actually seems accurate if they do have 5-6 residents and most moonlight. Somewhere around 80-120 K extra would be close to the highest reasonable numbers I know of.

The two programs I heard of that raked in ridiculous amounts through moonlighting are UT-Memphis (affiliated with Methodist, not Baptist) and U Mississippi.
