Michigan is great. I moved here for graduate school (from CA) and just got the call a few hours ago. I think there's something special about Ann Arbor. Football Saturdays, late nights in lab/library, crappy winter weather. We're really lucky to get the nod from this school.
 
I will be attending Dental School at the University of Michigan next summer! I was speechless when Im received the call this morning.
 
I believe Blue87Fiero will be making a Facebook group for us!
 
Really wish I got a call from them. This is one of my top 2 schools. 🙁

I was accepted as well! I'm a MI resident and I thought umich was going to be my first choice for sure. I got a call from UCLA today with some good news and I got a scholarship from them. I'm so fortunate to be in this position but I'm a little confused. Advice?

I'm HEAVILY leaning towards Michigan. An earlier poster said it best: there is something really special about Ann Arbor. Football Saturdays are the best thing! LBJ6, you're from SoCal. I'm not sure if you're from LA but you're probably more familiar with the area than I am. When I was there, the UCLA campus was really nice but the rest of LA was disappointing. If you're from LA, would you miss living there for 4 years?
 
Unfortunately, I'm from UC Irvine, which is like 50 miles south of LA. HAHA, um. I think LA is a great school where you can get a great education (UM too), as for night/weekend life... ehh. Not as sick as Ann Arbor, since the football team is way better. as well as all the Grad Programs offered at UM. But then again, I MAY be biased because I didnt get an interview from LA, and grew to love UM more after having interviewed there! haha
 
does anyone know if they gave all the dec 3rd phone calls today? (banking on this) are they splitting it up throughout the week? Long shot but wish this was true.

seems like very little posted about getting into Umich.

I just want to congratulate everyone on being accepted...U of M is a great school. I am a current D1, so if anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to ask me. Best advice I can give to everyone is do something great and relax as much as possible before June (it gets pretty intense sometimes). Congrats to all and see ya in the summer!

Did you guys get an acceptance email or update through Wolverine access or both? Just curious. I am still waiting to hear back from them 🙁

For me since I was from cali I got the Wolverine access update at 730am then the call at 8am . Luckily I was already up and working at 5am so it was a nerve racking 2 1/2 wait.

Hmm i wonder where the rest of the acceptances are? They must be choosing between UM and some other schools. Well in 30 days our fb group will hopefully be up to at least 50
