So I been on these boards for probably 7 months and have found a lot of great information and advise. So I am returning once again.

The last I visited I planned to attend ETSU for MSW. Those plans fell through because deadlines passed (my school messed up and I had one more class to take, and then there was a billing issue, so still waiting for transcripts etc for my BA). Same applies for UT.

I found that the University of New England offers a distance learning option (the book work is done from home) and they arrange all your interns etc with places in your local community. This is the same thing UT was offering when I was talking with them, since I was over so many miles away. The good thing about UNE is that they still have a start date for the fall. They are calling me monday to discuss the program.

They are a B&M school, and offer the same program locally there, the same way UT does.

My question, how is the program at UNE? Has anyone attended and what did you think?

Thanks!

Just to clarify, I'm not specifically asking about the distance program. I want to know about their MSW in general, the B&M part will do if anyone has attended.

Thanks.

So they called and after speaking with them further, I decided to go ahead and apply. I was going to wait for a response, but everything sounded fine. I have finished all the application process minus one more letter of recommendation (which should arrive this week) and I need to write my personal statement.

Wish me luck.

(and if anyone still wants to post info about the school for me or others, it would be greatly appreciated)

Great news, I was accepted into the program. Class begins August 30th.

Once I have been in the school for a while, I will try to come back to this thread and give an update with my impressions. Hopefully others will find it useful when considering this school.

Wish me luck!
