I have been thinking of getting a Master of health administration (MHA) from UofP, but do you think medical schools will accept it? It's accredited by the higher learning commission and a member of the north central association of colleges and schools.

I think getting a MHA will increase my chance of getting into med school. What do you all think? Plan b would be to do a post-bacc, like maybe in Scripps.

I personally think you'd be much better off doing a post-bac from a great program like Scripps than doing an MHA through a program requiring only a 2.5 and no GRE for admissions.

Don't waste your money on an MHA if your intent is to impress a med school admissions committee. Do the post-bacc as the previous poster suggested.

i think that MHA is geared mor towards hospital administration/human resources more than it is geared towards the actual practice of medicine. something you may need in your career at some point, but not right now.

Why did you resurrect a 5 yr old thread to do so?

It's a spammer. Maybe it's some kind of bot that picks at random or someone that thought they'd bump every post that's online education related.

I agree, it does look like a spammer. I reviewed his profile's activity and there are 4 identical posts by him in one day in 4 different forums, all done yesterday. I would ignore him.

They removed the post....

Spam posts get removed. This one stuck around longer than others I've seen... that must be what happens when the mods get old. 😉

According to our director of admissions, while your MHA is a nice thing to have, it will do absolutely nothing in terms of their views on you as an applicant. If your GPA is low, this masters would be a DIService.

...Wait...why are we on a 5 y/o thread?!
