Is there anywhere, like a website, where I can get info about the University of Pittsburgh Curriculum. I want like a course listing or some idea of what classes occur in which semester. Thanks

hey im a current first yr (just finished exams 2 days ago)...i can give you some info about whats up at Pitt--theyre changing a lot of things around, and for the better.

So this semester we have

2 Biochem classes,

Dental anatomy,

This intro to dentistry course which was cool at first and turned into a Dental Materials Nightmare the last 3 weeks since they canceled DM for next semester so our professor made us do all kinds of crap and failed 3/4 of the class on their (our) first time through it...its all good, the class is pass/fail, we all got Ps.

General Histology from Aug-October

Oral Histology from October to December

Professionalism in Dentistry

Statistics

Next semester:
Physiology
Head and Neck
Craniofacial soething or another
General Anatomy
Intro to Perio
Restorative
Dental Informatics (we're going digital so this is a pass/fail class to help us understand the new technology)

Thats all i know...im assuming you just got accepted or are interested in applying...if you have any other questions PM me.

go to pitt...im a 1st year too...it's way easier than undergrad....very laid back. i have a feeling next semester is gonna be a bit harder....but seriously no stress most of the time. I have a lot of free time and I'm doing well. so...look at stress levels at some schools....i know a bunch where the students are tweaking out. None of that at pitt....maybe during finals...but that's how it always goes.
also, the class seems to pull together here rather than compete. i think it has a lot to do with the way they try to build comradery with events and stuff...lots lots of note sharing and oldies and stuff. it has worked out very well. I think the drop in stress also comes from the fact that we take a few summer classes instead of just getting the whole thing off. we have 2, 3ish week breaks, and that will be plenty for me. I actually enjoy going to school b/c i get to see friends there. lol
anywho.. pick pitt.

Hey DanTheMan.
There's already a first year with that name here at pitt. if you come here, everyone will be confused.
