hey, quick question- what kind of financial aid has rochester been giving out. I submitted my applications a little late and wont here back in time. But I would like to get a sense of how generous they are.

I think Rochester tends to be fairly generous by trying to give each student at least some scholarship money. Personally, I received $10K per year in free money, but I've heard of others who received much more. There was a post on here not too long ago where someone received $95K over 4 years!

I have finally decided to go, after a impromptu road trip to Rochester and Pittsburgh over the past few days! And I am totally excited! Rochester just seems so friendly and supportive and I think it will be a great place to learn.

I am thinking about living somewhere around the park ave/monroe ave area - anyone else going to be over there? It seems like it will be nice to actually leave school and go home rather than staying right in the area...

Looks like I'm going to be at Rochester next year too! 😀 The Park Ave/East Ave area was recommended to me as a good place to live. I don't know Rochester very well, so I'm going to head up there later this month to check it out and search for a place. I haven't gotten much info from Rochester yet about starting in August - anyone have any interesting tidbits of info about orientation or anything that they want to share? 🙂

Also, where is everyone living? PM me if you'd like---it would be great to get to know you guys and girls since we'll be with each other for the next four years....

I just turned my health forms in the other day, but I don't think they're due that soon. I thought they were due in about a month or so. I'm pretty sure they gave us plenty of time to get the physical completed.

Anyhow, it would be nice to meet up with everyone once people start arriving. Maybe we all could meet up for drinks sometime. My AIM screenname can be found in my profile thing on here. See you all in August!

I'm not all that far from you. I live on Raleigh St., a block from SMH.
