Hi everyone. I’m applying to st Augustine’s flex DPT program at San Marcus. All I’m waiting on is to take the GRE in two weeks. The rest of my application is complete and once verified the school will receive it. I am so nervous about a few things however. All of my prerequisite classes are 4.0s. But a few of them are older than the recommended 5 years. Did they make you retake classes? I took AP 1&2 twice with 4.0 but that was 7 years ago. And a physics class was done 7 years ago too. Does anyone have similar old classes? Did they make you retake?

Ask the school. They are not extremely well organized, so there is a chance they will not notice the date, but it's up to you whether you want to take this chance.

Ya I took the chance. My advisor says it shouldn’t be a problem. Did you apply there?

Graduated from Flex San Marcos last year. Let me know if you have any questions 🙂.

Wow awesome!
Congrats. Yes I do in fact. Do you remember exactly how many times in the first trimester you have to be there in person for labs? And second and third four. For the first and second year? Is it 8 times consistently all the time in each trimester? Or is it like 8 in first followed by 7. And less and less. In third and four year I heard it’s less.
Thank you!

I believe the 1st trimester was Sat, Sun every other weeks. later on, it's usually every 2 weeks on average, a few times we had to go 2 weekends in a row, sometimes we had 3 weeks in between. After the 1st trimester, some labs ended earlier as well, so were not necessarily stuck there until 5pm, but during the 1st semester we were lol. You can email the school and ask them to send you calendar of labs schedules for the current students, then you will get a better idea what exactly to expect.

Thank you so much for that info. And sure if it’s not too much of a hassle for you. Did you fly in to San Marcos for each weekend that was needed? Or you lived nearby?

Also,
Does university of st Augustine require a uniform? For class times/labs and internships?

No problem!
I drove (1-2h) there and back every lab day.
Dress code was a white t-shirt, shorts, sports bra for females, no sandals. Lab coat for some practicals, dress pants/khakis for some practicals. For cadavers lab they just want you to cover your legs and arms with clothes.
For internships, depends on the clinic where you go.
