Just thought I'd let you all know, that U of T is interviewing ppl this year with an average GPA of 3.83. Man that is high!.

Yup. 500 applied, 200 interviewed. Average for those interviewed is 3.83 and 21AA And the 3.83 is on the OMSAS scale meaning no bull$hit 4.3333 and an A is a 3.9 and an A+ is a 4.0. So if we'd translate that to AADSAS GPA, it would probably be closer to 3.9. THat's so insane. I have no clue how I got an interview with my $hit stats.

That's crazy high. Is that for all 4 years or best 3 or 2 years of marks. Good thing I didn't apply to U of T.

That seems awfully high. Our actual entrance average for this year's class was 3.84, but I have never heard of an interview average at UofT being that high. What is your source?

This year is REALLy competitive because of the double cohort. Cut off for an interview was a 3.72. In other years it was a 3.6. I say this years class will have a 3.87-3.9 GPA average which is disgusting hahahha

This is why BU gets Canadians with 3.7s every year...because they can't even get an interview here 🙁 I ain't complaining though 😀

Wow if that is true.....I feel for you guys. I can perhaps try and verify this figure with the admis office, but I don't know how much they will be inclined to disclosing. Have any of you gotten an interview invite? They have released their inviations just the other day for the weekend of April 1st.

I did get an interview. These figures are from the rejection letters they sent other applicants where they quoted the averages of those being interviewed. These are official UofT stats. I can't wait to see the stats of the class in the fall. It will really be disgusting hahaha

I'm an undergrad at U of T, and yes, they are *****S. Absolute *****s. This institution is so focused on research that they forget about their students. Oh yeah and who can forget the mandatory C+ or 65% must-have average for all courses? Take a look at any U of T student's transcripts and their class averages are C+ and below... Now try getting As in those same classes to get into dental school in Toronto. GIMME A BREAK!!! 🙂

I hear u Galen Im also a UofT undergrad and class averages on my transcript are all C or even Ds. Other schools bell it up but NO UofT doesnt bell shizzle....thats why i have modified their motto ... GREAT MINDS TO F UP! 😡
