Hi, I'm going to be interviewing at UW soon and I was hoping someobody might have some info about it because I'm pretty nervous about it. Any advice would be appreciated!

hahaha

I would follow groundhog's advice and make sure you are ready to explain any "blemishes" on your record. The UW is very cautious about all numbers. Be ready to explain what happened, what you could have done to prevent it, what you will do in the future. The same thing goes for DAT scores as well. Don't be discouraged if your interview seems like its all about numbers. Most of us who have interviewed at UW have already experienced that and it is standard procedure. Heck, I know some people who've been told at the interview that they should look somewhere else. So be ready for anything, this is not going to be your other types of interviews where the interviewer is selling the school to you. You better be ready to sell yourself to the school, cuz UW is a very cautious buyer.

Hope this helps and keeps you on your toes.

Also, when is your interview. If you want I would be honored to drop by the office and say "hi" before your interview. Lemme know either way.

Thanks for the advice, but how many times can you really explain each bad grade in a different way? I mean, I don't even really have a good explanation. Sometimes it was just me not studying enough and other times it was just a really hard class. Now I'm really nervous for the interview! I hate being put on the defensive.

My interview is scheduled for January 13th, but I'm first on the list of people to call if anyone cancels an earlier interview so I could go at any time.
