To all the applicants who have been invited for an interview at the University of Wisconsin: Do you know when we have to submit the official transcipts by? Before the interview date? They didn't mention this in the email, but their website indicated that all interviewees must submit official transcipts.

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended must be submitted. You have previously submitted these to AMCAS. Our committee uses transcript information as well as AMCAS information about your coursework. All transcripts are to be received by 12-01-2007. Additionally, applicants enrolled in college as of 12-01-2007 are required to submit an official transcript as soon as fall term grades are posted.

Interesting. That's the page I use to get to the URL I posted. I hadn't ever clicked on the "Official Transcripts" bit. I thought it was just underlined, I didn't realize it was a link!

So does that mean that they want my transcript even if they haven't invited me to interview by December 1st? It certainly sounds that way.

I think you only send transcripts in if you are invited to interview. I think that link appeared only after I got my interview. I don't remember.

Last year they requested my transcripts when I was granted an interview. Then, at the interview, they reminded us about the transcripts and told us that our profile would not go to final review and a decision would not be made until we sent in our transcripts.

I talked to the admissions office today. They said pretty much what the last poster did. Send in your transcripts before you arrive for the interview otherwise it will take them longer to make a decision.
