Hey guys I am wondering about how much success non-listed minorities have had applying to Howard. I am Assyrian (not Syrian; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assyrian_people) and I definitely know without a doubt we would be about as underrepresented as Native people in dentistry. We are not arabic (we are christian and from the middle east area though). I just don't know how we will be looked at... anyone have an experience close to this? Is it worth applying to Howard?

The only way I feel like I can state my case is through the letter of intent but I hope they don't classify me under the 'Asian' minority because we're definitely non-existent in the dental field.

Anyone from the middle east is consider caucasian, I believe, so that includes assyrian people

I am chaldean (click on the link, its there)

I didn't represent myself as minority because there are rules for that and I didn't qualify.... To dental schools, I am just a white boy
