just wondering if any unlv students could give me some info on the health insurance provided by the school. how much would it be for me. wife and 2 kids. if the school doesnt have reasonable insurance does anyone know of a private insurer that's not too expensive

medicaid, its free. And you will qualify under your circumstances.

I would think the insurance the school offers would be reasonable as it is group dental insurance. Group insurance plans under most circumstances are much cheaper and offer better coverage than individual policies.

I think it's important to try to continue insurance policies seamlessly. If you should be uninsured for a period of time, greater than 90 days I think, should you acquire a new plan, you may not be covered for some services without a waiting period. At least that is how it works in our area.

Maybe you can contact someone at the UNLV Health Center and request a copy of UNLV's student insurance policy and their present rates. Good Luck and Best Wishes.
