Hello all,
I have an interview at UNLV very soon, and I was just wondering if anyone who has already interviewed there would be nice enough to tell what kind of things they ask. I have picked up from other posts that it's a relatively relaxed interview, but WHAT questions they ask is what i am really interested in. Thanks in advance!

Hello all,

It will depend who your interviewers are and what you wrote on your personal statement. I would say for 50% of the conversation I discussed something related to my personal statement, but with more detail. Then 40% would be casual conversation about the interviewers and my background, how Nevada is like etc. I would then say 10% would be discussed about the school itself. They will tell you about the school and you would just listen or ask them questions.

The only "specific" question I got is "Why UNLV?"

Go over the interview feedback for UNLV. As pacific2013 mentioned, most of the questions the faculty person is going to ask you is going to be from your personal statement and your application all together.
My biggest advice is to relax, be yourself, and be honest. My interviewer told that they just want to see if we have communication skills 😀

Good Luck!
