On the UNLV Secondary Application there is a section on the third page for "Additional Information" which asks to explain any extenuating circumstances or provide extra information that could be useful in evaluating an applicant's credentials. Would you consider this section to be mandatory? I feel like I already explained everything in detail in the primary application. What has everyone else done for this?

If I remember correctly from last year, I left that part blank.

If it matters,
I interviewed in October, got accepted in December.

Are you hand writing the secondary or typing it up?

I thought you two were joking about handwriting your secondary. Do what you wish, but if you can manage it, I'd try to have that bad boy printed. I know they'll accept it written and people will tell you they got a Dec 1 acceptance and hand-wrote theirs. Typed is just way more professional. A handwritten application reminds me of McDonald's.

I don't have adobe acrobat to enter text into the pdf. Is there another way? Also, my job at McDonald's has been awesome and taught me most of life's major lessons.

Yeah I'm going to hand write them as well, I don't have adobe pro either.

You can use Microsoft Paint and add text boxes. I did that last year. It is annoying and takes some patience, but it makes it look much more professional.

I wouldn't go way out of your way to do it, but if you have the time, I'd suggest it.

Check to see if friends or family have more than just Acrobat Reader. Do your campus computers have it? If they do, do they allow remote use of it? I know my university lets us remotely use a lot of programs. That's one of them.
