Dear UNLV Students:

I would like to ask you what you think of your school.

How do you like your school? Does the school listen to your feedback? Are there research opportunities and fundings available? Does UNLV prepare you well for the boards? Are you well-trained clinically? Do you guys do a lot of community service/outreach activities? Do most students go the GP route? What percentage of students specialize? Does anyone know how many students applied to residency programs last year and how many got accepted?

The school is great, great technology, faculty and equipment. The professors and administration have always listen to us. The faculty prepare us well with boards, I believe we only had one person fail this past year. Even the kids you think would fail passed. We do have a lot of patients but some competencies it is hard to find patients we have a shortage of dentures and endo. But everyone generally finishes them all. There is a lot of community service starting at the school at least 2-3 activities a month. I don't know the percentage that want to specialize, it depends on the class. I believe there are usually about 30 people that want to specialize in each class. I don't know the stats of people getting in to residencies because I want to be a GP.

I don't think so. I remember during the interview they said there are classes during the summer and a "Summer Enrichment Project."
