UNMC c/o 2014

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thought the interview went well. Can't believe the crazy low number of applicants and people who got interviews...but they do have a lot more prerequisite classes than other schools. Their pharmcas process was also too long IMO and they shouldn't have had all the extra essays. If it wasn't my in-state school I probably wouldn't have applied.
Good Luck Pharmboy and anyone else out there.....

Mine was at 11 too. The student showing me around said that there were only 62 people interviewing and that they would reduce the class size to 50-55. Our chances of getting in are pretty good though. Good luck!

I know this is a little bit early to start looking for housing, but does anyone know where would be a good and safe place for housing near UNMC? Thanks!

There are some apartments that back up to the student life center parking lot (the main student parking lot). One perk would be not having to find parking in the morning, which can get tough after about 8:30. Most members of my class, however, just commute from other areas of the city or even from Lincoln (can be done, there are a couple in each class - but not recommended!)

In May, new P1's will be invited to "Welcome to Our World" and get a lot of the nitty gritty info as well as an opportunity to pick the brains of some of current students (and a bag full of freebee's). Once you get your UNMC email (sometime over the summer) there will be messages from people looking for roommates or announcing intern openings.

Congrats on getting in, it's a fabulous program!

Anyone else out there accepted and going to UNMC?
