I went to medical school at a great Family Medicine academic school, but I didnt want to have to deal with 3 more years of higherarchy where other specialties devalued the importance of Family Medicine. I chose a great unopposed program, Halifax Family Medicine, in Daytona Beach, Florida. I highly recommend looking into it. Extremely solid program and great, HAPPY, residents. Faculty that are extremely approachable and eager to teach, in fact most hospital docs are very open to teaching. Great salary, amazing benefits, and very livable schedule and call schedule. Added benifits include sunshine, golf, and warm weather. 🙂

Our residents are from all over the country, I am from the west coast. We have all US MDs.

2-4 week Externships available with free housing, food, more info on website.
