So I finished my PTCAS a long time ago and got the e-mail saying that my application has been completed; I got my gpa calculations etc. etc.. I looked at my observation hours verification and I was confused- I'm not sure if they've been verified or not.

If I click on "My Application" under "My Tools" and then click on "Physical Therapy Observation Hours" under "Additional Information" (this is where you add/delete observation instances), it shows my completed observation hours. Underneath the "Send for Verification" title there is a grayed out circle with a lock in it. If I HOVER my mouse over it, the words show up: "verification in progress"

HOWEVER, if I go to "My Tools"-> "My Application", and then click on "PT Observation Hours" under the "Status" section (this section is on the right, and you get full access to it once you complete your application- this is where you can see your GPA calculations, etc.) this is what it shows:

Verifier: so-and-so, Date Requested: 10/22/2014, Hours Verified Date: 10/23/2014, PT Request Type: Electronic Signature, Hours Status: Completed, Verification Status: Verified

Soooo, according to the status tab, my hours have been verified but according to the grayed out lock icon, verification is "still in progress". Which is it?
Have my hours been verified??

You're hours have been verified. Don't worry.

The icon to send for verification changes to a lock as soon as you do it, at which point your verification is "in process", apparently never to change again even when your hours is verified. PTCAS can tend to be a bit buggy.

I'm honestly amazed you even noticed. I just checked my PTCAS and have the same thing you describe, so I assume it's like that for everyone. But I don't think anyone has ever gone back in to see what that little gray lock says once the hours show up as verified under "status". Way to be OCD 👍

Your*

Hahahahahaha joking. I just had to, you called me OCD 🤣
