I currently am in the process of obtaining my EMT license and preparing for paramedic school. My ultimate goal is to become an MD! However, ive been on a rocky road. I enrolled into my community college a year ago and didn't take the classes serious. I got mediocre grades and failed one class. After I finished up that semester I decided to pursue my dream as an MD. I enrolled in an EMT class and passed at the top of the class. I am in the process of enrolling into paramedic school and really looking forward to it! My plans are to finish up paramedic school and then enroll into a university as a Pre-med/Biology major (Which most likely ill have to take remedial classes) unless I can study while in paramedic school and get a better score on my ACT. My question is if my past will mess up my future as an MD.

The only things I have known to prevent you in a career in medicine are: criminal record, college disciplinary action against you, and terrible mcat scores. You have so much time to "shape your academic abilities." Take college seriously, it can screw your life's goals if you don't.

We use the term "nontraditional" 'round these parts, but yes, check out the Nontraditional Students Forum here for more experienced advice.

However, your prior grades from community college will be factored into your undergraduate GPA when you apply through AMCAS, so keep that in mind; you don't have much room for error in your undergrad courses from now on. IIRC (someone correct me if this is wrong), grades older than 10 years are discounted in the TMDSAS application, so if you're in Texas or think you'd have a good shot at TX schools for whatever reason, that might help.
