Specifically offering views on the affordable care act, saying whether you agree with it or disagree with it?

Is there a general political tendency among adcoms or medical community?

I think it depends where you are. where I've worked physicians were overwhelmingly in favor of ACA, even though they recognized limitations/growing pains. But I'm not sure if this view would be prevalent everywhere even though academic physicians are (supposedly) overwhelmingly liberal

Eta: the advice I've gotten around if I'm asked about it, is to recognize the limitations and discuss how to go about alieviating those.

What about schools with missions like reducing disparities? Inherently, that is an idea that would self select for left leaning ideologies.

I'd say something like, "I've recently been reading more about medical policy and how it effects care." Then if you wanted to talk about the ACA, I'd try to be a little more humble about it and say that my first impressions about it are so and so, but I look forward to seeing it in action in a variety of healthcare settings and blah blah

For physicians in UCSF to posit opinions is different than us pre-meds; they've lived pre-ACA and now seen the transition
