Hey guys,

I interviewed at UOP a couple weeks back for an alternate seat. The school is amazing and it's my #1 choice but I haven't heard anything back.

Has anyone else who interviewed for a wait list seat (I think it was late January and February interviews) heard from them?

I also interviewed for a waitlist position two weeks ago. I received a voicemail message last Friday telling me that they placed me on the waitlist and that I would receive further information via mail.

They probably mentioned this at the interview but it seems like a stupid thing to call them about: does anyone know how many people are on the waitlist or how many people are usually in a quartile?

I remember them saying there's usually about 40 to 45 total applicants on the wait/alternate list.

Just got the call today to be on the waitlist. Interviewed on 2/23.

I don't think there will be any movement until late April because the Executive Admissions Committee hasn't met yet and second deposits haven't been paid.

Does anyone know when the second deposit for accepted students is due?

I think you will be seeing a lot of movement soon. Schools released their rosters and are making students who are holding multiple seats chose. The deadline for UOP is April 20th.

When I got the call informing me I was on the waitlist, the lady told me the committee would meet around now and that I could call to find out what quartile I am in. However, I can't remember if she gave me an exact date the committee would meet and that I can call. Anyone know?

The quartiles were just released this week. I just found out which quartile I'm in. You can call and they will tell you.

I know it's hard to predict from year to year, but could someone with experience tell me what the precentage chance of getting in for each of the quartiles is? (ie. 1st quartile 95%, 2nd quartile 75%, etc, etc...)

And it's probably too early for this year yet, but does anyone know how this years 4 quartiles are looking? (as far as how deep is the list, how competitve, etc...)

I never had a chance to call about which quartile I'm in but I just got a call today telling me that I have been accepted to the Pacific Class of 2015. So the waitlist is definitely moving 🙂

Let's reenact this thread... I am on the alternate list and was told that the ranking would be done the middle of April, does anyone know what the chances of an acceptance is coming from this list?

1st quartile - chances are great
2nd quartile - chances are not so great but there is still a possibility you'll get called

3rd and 4th - i hope you have a back-up plan (or wait for uop for next app cycle)

When I spoke to Stan, the Director of Admissions, he told me top two quartiles usually get in and the other two quartiles will get in the following year as long as they fill out AADSAS again. Interviewed 3/04, wait listed on 3/14!

Hey toofly, I was just wondering if they actually mentioned anything about the possibility of being given a spot next cycle if you were placed on the waitlist this cycle. I know that UOP is the school I want to go to, and I would give up acceptances to most other schools if they told me that this was a valid option. I know it's been mentioned on the forum, but did the school actually mention it? I interview Apr. 8th

Sorry didn't see this before, yes they explicitly state when u interview that if u r placed on wl and don't get in anywhere else or turn down all other offers they will work with u to get u in the subsequent year. No ps, no letters, just transcripts sent to AADSAS to verify gpa. Sweet deal 🙂
